Our Mission
Our mission is to promote and raise funds for Habitat for Humanity by providing our community with a recreational and educational event that showcases local arts and crafts, and performing arts. By partnering with various organizations and through generous donations of time, talent and treasure we also provide our community with an opportunity to purchase a variety of goods and services.
Organization
The Chile Festival is organized and managed by Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church, a non-profit corporation organized under the laws of the state of New Mexico. Shepherd of the Valley is a member to The Presbyterian/Catholic Coalition of Churches, which pledges to sponsor a home for Habitat for Humanity each year. The Chile Festival contributes significantly to this fund. The church generously donates all the facilities at no cost. Committee members serve without compensation of any kind.
Event Overview
The Chile Festival is a two day event that takes place each year at Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church. The Festival has been held continuously since 1997. This popular and free community gathering offers visitors great entertainment, wonderful arts and crafts, a kid’s area, book sale, baked goods sale, roasted chile, delicious food, and an exciting silent auction.
